Kuala Lumpur, 17 October, 2019— MIT Technologies, a leading provider of downhole intelligent products for upstream oil and gas sector, is pleased to announce the launch of its new and innovative product for oil well completion, the D Valve.
The company was honored with inaugurating the D Valve launch by En. Rahimi Hj Wahab Wells Manager Petronas Carigali.
D Valve is a fit for purpose completion valve developed in collaboration with the Completion team of Petronas Wells Center of Excellence (COE/Wells-Completion) inline with Petronas VDP InnoTech program.
Petronas COE/Wells team’s drive to enhance completion deployment efficiency through intervention-less technology was the catalyst to develop the D Valve.
1st generation of D Valve is rated V-3 Bi-Directional Barrier up to 5,000 PSI, 150°C, an adjustable release pressure, and will incorporate a specially designed Wireline Entry Guide. D Valve will advance well construction operations
while improving overall well delivery economics through its unique intervention-less system that facilitates string integrity testing and packer setting prior to valve activation, preparing the well for production.
D Valve has passed through rigorous tests in compliance with API 11D1 as a v3 and successfully passed TRL4. Field test is lined up during the next months.
