KUALA LUMPUR: Ahmed Tahoun has been appointed the President of the Arab Malaysian Chamber of Commerce Berhad (AMCC), with effect from July 18, 2012. “I am honoured to be embarking on this journey to achieve the goal of the AMCC to bridge the Arab and Malaysian Economies. The Arab World is going through major development that releases a strong potential for new business opportunities. AMCC is focused on contributing substantially to the economic growth of Malaysia and the Arab countries, while facilitating to its members to learn from the economic developmental model of Malaysia”.
Ahmed Tahoun succeeds Mr. Mohamad Radwan Alami, who has completed two years in office as president of AMCC since its inception.“During the past one year and a half, AMCC has gone through significant developments and milestones had been achieved, AMCC strong recognitions by the Malaysian and Arab countries helped the Chamber to grow significantly serving its members and the Malaysian companies in various aspects. AMCC now is consolidating its activities and moving ahead to achieve the next targeted milestones. I will continue to give my full support to the Chamber and the new President and ensure continuity and progressive development of the Chamber”.
Hajjah Jumaatun Azmi has also been recently appointed Vice-President (Malaysian) of the AMCC, with effect from July 18, 2012.
Ahmed Tahoun is currently the Managing Director of MIT Innovation Sdn Bhd (www.MIT-Technologies.com), while Hajjah Jumaatun Hazmi is the founder and Managing Director of KasehDia Sdn Bhd (http://www.kasehdia.com/)
The new BOD comprises: Ahmed Tahoun (President), Bahaa Eddin Makkawi (Vice President – Arab), Hajjah Jumaatun Hazmi (Vice President – Malaysian), Amnah Binti Shaari (Director of Programmes), Ihsan S. Al-Shaikh (Director of Membership) Mohamad Radwan Alami (Board Member), Asiah Noor Binti Mahmood (Board Member).
