MIT Technologies in collaboration with its partners has successfully deployed its groundbreaking circulating sub, iCWD, in deepwater operations in the Gulf of Mexico.
The iCWD is a remotely operated circulating sub that leverages patented technology to enhance operational efficiency in challenging environments. Using a command key that incorporates variations in RPM, flow, or pressure, the iCWD can seamlessly switch between its four modes of operation. This versatile tool can be operated as many times as required, with commands allowing it to transition from any mode to any other mode in any sequence, without limitation.
Co-developed with Petronas, the iCWD represents a unique solution designed to meet the demanding conditions of deepwater drilling. Multiple tools can be installed in the same string, spaced out as needed, and each tool can be operated independently using the Agileā¢ communication system.
